Jacob Andrew Marckel, local to the Twin Cities Metro area, has made quite a splash throughout his high school career, and looks forward to continuing his progress and development in the arts. Jacob started performing locally at Stages Theater Company where he performed in 10 main stage productions, stepping foot on stage 450 different times. Since 2023, Jacob has attended  the Performing Institute of Minnesota Arts High School, where he has studied skills in the musical theater track. Jacob has worked hard to be able to play a diverse set of roles across his youth career, including Cosmo Brown (Singing in the Rain) and Hades (Hadestown), both of which received Outstanding Honors from the Hennepin Arts Spotlight Program.  Jacob even represented Minnesota at the 2026 Jimmy Awards for his role in Hadestown. From taking classes in the heart of Minneapolis, to putting his own work on large stages, Jacob has worked relentlessly to grow as much as possible before pursuing the arts outside of his hometown. After high school, Jacob plans to enroll in a BFA program in musical theater and also take time to hone in on his choreographic endeavors.
